Job description
Gain America is recruiting a Java / Spring Boot Engineer for contract and contract-to-hire engagements with our enterprise clients in the Jersey City, NJ market. Design and scale distributed back-end services in Java for mission-critical platforms in financial services and beyond.
Work model: Hybrid / on-site in the Jersey City, NJ area
Core stack: Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS, Kafka, REST APIs
What you'll do
- Build resilient microservices with Spring Boot and REST APIs
- Design event-driven pipelines with Kafka and asynchronous messaging
- Deploy and operate services on AWS with containerized workloads
- Optimize performance, reliability, and observability of production systems
What you bring
- 5+ years of hands-on Java development
- Deep Spring / Spring Boot and microservices experience
- Working knowledge of AWS and container orchestration
- Experience with Kafka or comparable streaming platforms
