They handle the very complex problems that arise. Core Java/Linux, UDB, Sybase, Oracle w/ very strong knowledge of OO concepts and troubleshooting (Optimization, Indexing, Memory Management, Garbage Collection, etc, etc)
C and C++ experience a plus
** Working knowledge with tcp/ip, udp, and other communication protocols
** Tibco, JMS, and other messaging experience a plus
** Knowledge of HTML, DHTML, Javascript, CSS, XML, and related technologies
** Strong working knowledge of databases (UDB, Sybase, Oracle)
** Strong inter-personal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
** Fast learner with interest in improving technical knowledge.
